Amrapali’s roots are deeply intertwined with the bustling gemstone hub of Jaipur in India....
It was here in 1978 where two cousins, Rajiv Arora and Rajesh Ajmera, first dreamed up the concept of a vibrant jewellery brand that celebrated the traditional craftsmanship and artistry that has made Indian jewellery world reknown for centuries.
The jewellery house’s bright Meenakari enamel work, uncut coloured gemstones and flattering rose-cut and polki diamonds – all hallmarks of traditional Eastern jewels – soon won them a dedicated following, not just in India but across the world. The designs, which took inspiration from art, culture and Indian heritage, were soon seen on red carpets in Hollywood and Bollywood alike.
Amrapali continues to be a tour de force in India, using its own manufacturing base in Jaipur, as well as a network of trusted specialist artisans across the country, to create jewellery that champions and preserves traditional craft. The family business, now led by Rajiv’s son Tarang Arora, has become one of the most celebrated and successful jewellery brands in India.
Amrapali London is an extension of this storied jewellery maison. With a focus on the house’s clientele in the West, it has distilled the colourful spirit and history of Amrapali to create contemporary luxury jewels with an Eastern DNA. Its exclusive collections are a celebration of the story and heritage of Indian jewels, bringing a twist of the colour, vibrancy and joy of Jaipur to modern designs.

The World of Amrapali
Amrapali London delivers the rich culture, colour and spirit of Jaipur through luxury jewellery collections inspired by our Indian heritage....
Our gold jewels are crafted in Rajasthan by the famous jewellery area’s most skilled artisans, and decorated with a cornucopia of bright enamels and richly hued gemstones.
You can find Amrapali London in some of the most exclusive luxury boutiques and department stores across Europe, the US and the Middle East. We have also opened dedicated Amrapali London shops in recent years as demand for our jewellery has grown. You will now find us in luxurious shopping destinations, including London’s historic Burlington Arcade.
At our stockists and boutiques, you will be greeted by a colourful selection of luxurious fine jewels that pay homage to traditional Indian styles. Rich yellow gold, polki and rose-cut diamonds set in the kundun style, ornate floral flourishes, uncut emeralds, rubies and sapphires – these hallmarks of traditional Eastern jewellery are worked into contemporary designs to deliver a little taste of Jaipur.
Clients can also take an active role in the design of an Amrapali London jewel through our innovative Gem Bar concept. First launched within the luxury jewellery room in Harrods, clients can select a loose gemstone from a revolving display. Our designers will then work with the client to set the gem into a bespoke piece of jewellery that will go on to become a future heirloom.
